We decided to try the cannolis were excellent. The cream in them was not whipped and almost custard-y, but it was very much cream. We ordered both the almond and the chocolate chip, and both my husband and I preferred the almond ones. We also bought a banana and cream cheese cupcake, a lemon muffin, and a chocolate cake donut and a bunch of cookies. The cookies are not bad, but they aren't great either. The banana cupcake was made with banana essence and not real banana. The cake donut was as good as it could be. The lemon muffin was actually a white cake filled with lemon curd. It was fabulous. I'm definitely going back for the cannolis and the lemon cake. They had some cookies that looked good too. We have a lot more to try at Nino's.

This place is great. We get our birthday cupcakes here each year and I want to say it's like 50 cents per cupcake or something crazy like that. If you get there in the morning they also have individual treats for sale, though what kind they have always varies.

One visit only so far, but I would agree that it's a great price (under $2) for a filled-to-order cannoli. You can get mini cannoli's for less and you have a choice of dipping the ends in almonds or chocolate chips. One other thing that I tried that they had individually clear wrapped were chocolate truffle/chip cookies for $.69. The centers are a squashed dark chocolate (truffle) while the rest of the cookie is like a traditional chocolate chip cookie. Next time I'm out there, I might as well grab a sampling of different items - there are some other cookies, danishes, donuts, and lunch items (sandwiches, pasties...) Now to find a place with a view of the lake to enjoy the goods.

Cannolis and cakes are the best here. I've had cannolis in Rome, and the filling they use at Nino's reminds me of the Roman cannolis! One of the few places I've found that will make cherry chip birthday cake. So delicious! Christmas cookies are also well worth the price. Try a small box, you'll be back for more!

I have one word for you, canollis. The shell is crispy and fresh and filling is thick and soft. Awesome. And you are not going to see them displayed on the shelf. Oh no. You order them and they fill them for you. That's why the shell is not soggy at all. And they sprinkle sugar powder on the top so you can choke a few times like me because I just have to have it right away. :) Nino's offer bread, baked goods and pepperoni rolls too. Delicious and always fresh. Their prices are very reasonable too, I do not want to use the word cheap. Didn't I just use it? Well, I hope you know what I mean. Now you might overlook this place because it's not new and fancy but it is very clean and owned by pleasant Italian family for a long time. If you are in Walled Lake neighbourhood I would highly recommend Nino's Italian Bakery.

I don't know why there's not a line out the door everyday! This place is great as a Bakery as well as an Italian grocery. I pick-up frozen ravioli's and gnocchi when I'm in getting sub buns and Pepperoni loaves. Great prices on homemade bake goods!

Originally saw Ninos on a Monday but they were closed. I finally got the opportunity to go to Ninos on a date day with my wife. They have some of the most wonderful tasting muffins you'll get your hands on. I got one that was stuffed with apple filling and she got one with fresh blueberries.....YES I SAID FRESH. It's all great. My wife and will be back to get the fresh pizza crust. Great place. Keep the Mom and Pop movement alive!

This place is a tasty treat for Walked Lakes's downtown scene (right across the street from the lake!). Had to get a cannoli and some other pastries to go. The ricotta cheese filling was fresh and sweet. There are two sizes (small and large) and the small one can be eaten in two good bites! The other pastries were just as good and next time I visit my grandma, I will have a large array of fresh coffee cakes to chose from. You can get coffee to go but it's nothing fancy (same as you'd expect at a Coney Island but probably not brewed as often). Fresh pizza dough can be special ordered Friday through Sunday and there are sandwiches and pre-made pizzas ready on display. There are also two types of dried pastas for purchase and various Italian salamis. The Johnsonville Sausage threw me off because I'd rather have it made is Walled Lake instead of Wisconsin. Maybe it's too nostalgic to think of it being made fresh from an old Italian recipe? All in all, Walked Lake is lucky to have such a great Italiano treasure!!!

Ok donuts are good, however Cannolli is not filled with a pudding substance, not real legit Cannolli, wasn't a drop of Marscapone cheese in it, not sure legit Italian bakery. Italians know cannolli.

Stopped in last minute and bought a dozen cannolis for my mom. The service was excellent. Very cute little Italian bakery with a few imported products on the shelves. And most importantly the cannolis were fabulous. Haven't tried anything else yet but I intend to. I would highly recommend them. 4 stars for now until I sample some more of the product line. If you go bring cash because they don't take plastic.

Always wonderful food. We love the cannoli sand the party subs for family get-togethers. The issue I have (and I would never let it stop me) is they do not accept credit/debit cards.....only cash or check. Great cookies, donuts, pizza slices, great everything. If you're in the area check it out.........and, if you're not in the area, check it out. 'nuff said......we love it, you will too.

Hoping for great cannoli, and in novi, had to stop in. These cannoli had no sugar in the puddingish cream filling. I'm from the east coast where Italian bakeries are filled with numerous glorious baked goods, and cannoli filling is made with ricotta cheese, and it is sweetened. they were a strike out. but i would recommend the almond danish - would swear they have almond paste in the filling. Really good. Pizza bread OK, but would not buy it again; too little filling. Not much to choose from here; could hardly call it an Italian bakery.

Just down the road from me. Go figure. Didn't know it was there until I Yelped Walled Lake eateries. We stopped in today. Got a box of cannoli and a loaf of hard crust Italian bread with sesame seeds on it. Amazingly inexpensive and very good for any price point. I am not a big cannoli fan, but I really enjoyed this one. Just wish it had had more chocolate chips in it. But for the price, well..... My boyfriend loved the stuff so we will be back. Maybe try cassata cake next.
